Club Statement from the Chairman:
Dear Club Members,
This evening, on Monday 23rd September 2019, Yardley Hockey Club held an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) at the request of the Club’s Management Committee. The rationale of the EGM was to vote on the proposal set out to form the Men’s section of City of Birmingham Hockey Club from the 2020/2021 season.
During the meeting, it was discussed in details the benefits and concerns of formalising our partnership with City of Birmingham Hockey Club. Club members had the opportunity to air their views on the proposal put forward to them. In line with the Club’s Constitution, members were then given the chance to vote for or against the proposal put forward.
Those who were unable to attend the EGM had been given the opportunity to vote electronically or by postal vote.
The outcome of the vote was as follows:
23 in favour
0 not in favour
0 abstained
Yardley Hockey Club will now work closely with City of Birmingham Hockey Club for the remainder of the 2019/2020 season to ensure a smooth transition ahead of the next season. Rest assured the Club and its Management Committee will keep you informed with updates in due course. Yardley Hockey Club will remain Yardley Hockey Club for the 2019/2020 season.
Yours faithfully
Jeevan Chagger
Yardley Hockey Club Chairman
