Dear Club Member

I would like to draw your attention to the Club’s annual Quiz Night. The quiz has been a feature of our season’s activities for many years now – in fact this year’s quiz will be, according to Club records, our 37th such event. (It will also be our last as Yardley Hockey Club.)  The Club is hoping for good support again for this year’s event. Last year we enjoyed a fish and chip supper as part of the evening. By popular request we are keeping this feature. Please read on for ticket information. You may have already come across mentions of the event on our Club web site, also our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

QUIZ NIGHT 2020

One of the Club’s annual fundraising and social  events is being held on Friday 21st February 2020 at the Willclare Sports and  Social Club, B26 2NX.  

 

This year, the Club will be again, offering a fish and chip supper to go with the quiz. Any orders for the fish and chips must be placed by Monday 17th  February so that the order can be placed in good time with the supplier.

The food will be available from 7.00p.m. and the quiz will commence after the food at approx 8.00pm. Unfortunately, there is no facility at the club for keeping food heated.

 

A late bar has been booked.

 

Ticket costs:

 

Adults eating and taking part in the quiz:                £8                                  

Adults attending the quiz only:                                 £5

Secondary Age children eating and quizzing:         £5                                   

Secondary Age Children attending quiz only:-        £2

Younger children ( primary school age ):     No charge for quiz,    £3 if eating

 

To aid the fund raising there will also be a raffle. In previous years Club members have been most generous in donating prizes for the raffle. It is hoped that prizes will be kindly donated again this year. Please bring any donations on the night.

 

Please try to come along to support the Club. It’s a good night out for all. Don’t worry if you don’t think you have a team yet, come along anyway and you can easily join one on the night.  If you wish to order tickets for the quiz and/or fish and chips, please let me know or inform your team captain, by 17th Feb.

 

Even if you do not want to eat, you could attend the quiz only.
