Men's 1st Team Vs Bournville 3

With 7 players unavailable due to Ramadan, the M1s were forced into requesting approval for Paul and Ian to move up from their regular team to support the 1s. Bournville came  out of the blocks with 2 quick goals in 20 minutes. CoB worked an opening down the left flank with Zach but Kyle's effort was well saved before a second chance for Zach and Jeevan was swept up by the keeper. Ian and Paul marshalled by Mat controlled the back line and kept the hosts at bay.

Second half and within 30 seconds, Jordan played the ball to Jeevan whose pass deflected to Jordan at the back post, hitting the ball on the volley back at goal, deflected into the roof of the net. Was a comeback on? Unfortunately not. CoB left gaps for a fitter Bournville to exploit with two quick late goals enough to take all three points despite the chances presented to CoB. It's just as well the Men are now secure in Div 6 SW following last week's defeat for Olton,
