| Match Report | Olton West Warks 0-2 CoB Men’s 1stXI Goal scorers: Noor Zaman and Jeevan Chagger. The visitors travelled to locals Olton, placed 11th in the league. Faced with a tight relegation battle, our Men's 1stXI needed 3 points to give some breathing space to the bottom two positions. CoB started off brightly with early exchanges and Noor Zaman saw an early chance thwarted. Alex, Kyle and Junaid controlled the midfield with Jeevan, Mat and Sohail marshalling the backline. Noor was gifted another breakaway this time making no mistake and punishing the hosts, 1-0. More positive play led by Alex and Jordan saw Kyle launched on the wing, crossing it to Jeevan who put it away, only for it to be disallowed for a foul in the follow up.
Positive team talk at the break, with the aim of killing the game off early on. And that they did, within 3 minutes, Jeevan scrambled the ball over the line to make it 2-0. CoB were tested late on with Neal making some great saves, but CoB held off for an important and well-deserved 3 points.
