Match Report | Bromsgrove M5s 5-0 CoB Men's 2ndXI A game of firsts with several older Badgers getting their first taste of an away game. CoB started off shakily, with plenty of rotation of players. The youngsters settled into the game well with Jack marshalling the goal well to keep the hosts at bay. Stan with some great counter attack opportunities only to be halted on multiple occasions by a whistle, as overcrowding impeded the umpire's view for advantages. Edan, Paul and Owen commanded the defence well, but Bromsgrove proved too strong, taking a 2-0 lead into the break. CoB began to lose shape in the second half, with players frequently rotating and not knowing their positions, tired legs, and a lack of discipline on the ball. Bromsgrove continued to press forward, clinching a further 3 goals. Thanks to the Bromsgrove umpires for taking the time to explain the decisions to our newer players, always warming to see when umpires show a great level of consideration for this. |
