Men's 1st Team Vs Solihull Blossomfield

This was the second and final warm-up game before the start of the league programme next week.

CoBHC got off to a good start with early exchanges of possession, but Blossomfield were quick on break-away attacks and grabbed an early 3-0 lead. Some quick play between Scott and Alex, saw Noor take two touches before seeing the ball fly into the top corner to reduce the arrears.

In the second half. With only 11 players, CoBHC were made to work hard to stay in the game. Alex saw a great aerial ball in from the left, but his shot went just wide. CoBHC thought they had scored with a by-line shot hitting the keeper and deflecting into the net, but it was deemed that the ball was outside the shooting circle.

Late on, CoBHC were forced into a change as Alex took a stick to the face that required several stitches. Thankfully he’s OK and on the mend. The club wishes him well with his recovery.

Two second half goals gave the home side a good-looking win at the end of  what proved to be a tiring and intense game.

The league starts with a game against Edgbaston 6ths.
