As they say…… a game of two halves.

Yardley travelled away to Redditch with two key players stuck on the Isle of Arran courtesy of Storm Dennis.

Redditch got off to a strong start albeit with quick passing but wasted chances. Yardley kept them at bay for much of the first half until they were awarded a penalty flick, from which they opened the scoring. Yardley then quickly found themselves in a prime position. Alex found Jeevan who turned his defenders and slotted home a reverse stick goal to even up the scores. Honours even at the break.

The second half told a different story. Redditch began to press high and Yardley’s midfield began to lose shape, resulting in several short corners being converted along with outfield goals.

This week, Yardley face table topping Olton, with relegation now seemingly very much on the cards.
