| Match Report | BARFORD TIGERS 3rds 5 YARDLEY 0 Missing four usual team players this was always going to be a tough ask against a more experienced Tigers' side on a bitterly cpld afternoon. Tigers took an early lead from a penalty corner inside the first 15 minutes. They doubled their lead shortly aftefwards and made it 3-0 before half time. Yardley did create some chances of their own, one of which had Jeevan's drag flick parried away. During the second half, Yardley sat deeper while was called upon yo make sme cracking saves and with Mat doing well to clear the defensive lines. Tigers missed a penalty flick, but scored two more goals late on. Next week Yardley face a home double-header - against Redditch on Saturday and a re-arranged game against West Brom on Sunday. hopefully with nearer a full strength side. |
