| Match Report | YARDLEY 1sts 1 WEST BROM 5 Yardley goal-scorer: Jeevan Chagger Yardley had been hoping for a ‘friendly’ to help set themselves up for the second half of the league campaign. However, It was quite obvious from the start that West Brom were going all out for a win, helped by the introduction of a few ‘ringers’ who do not usually play for them but ultimately allowed them to get the result they obviously wanted. Yardley started off brightly enough with Zach, Jahed and Jeevan linking up well to create a chance for Jeevan to sweep into an empty net. The rest of the game was largely dictated by the West Brom guest players who kept the ball well and eventually helped to build up a score-line to give them an emphatic win in the end. Yardley, to their credit, kept to their task as well as they could and created some bright attempts on goal.
