Match Report | Bournville 2 – 0 Yardley A goal in each half dashed any chance of the visitors getting a result. The Yardley team were under pressure for long spells and our keeper was the busier of the two. But with only s10 men Yardley battled hard and got a few chances in the first half. The Yardley midfield was as strong as their opponents but lacked structure and width. For the second half, the team addressed these problems and had the better of the half. The excellent defence pushed high to exert pressure for a goal and the visitors won three penalty corners. An improvement in team structure and constant pressure was great to see and a second goal for the home team was unfortunate as Yardley were getting closer to score. The visitors got good crosses into the “D” but missed the eleventh man.
