Match Report | Yardley 0-3 Kings Heath Pickwick Yardley hosted Kings Heath Pickwick in their fourth meeting in the Warwick Printing MRHA West Midlands Division this season. Yardley started off the game by seeing off some determined attacks by Kings Heath. The visitors pressed on numerous occasions in search of an opening but the Yardley defence stayed resolute and saw off any threats. Noah Jarvis saving one effort off the line. Yardley managed to have a set up a few attacks of their own, Tahir holding up play well to distribute to midfielders running on, only for Noor Zaman to have his attempt well saved by the Kings Heath Keeper. Kings Heath pressed in search of the first goal and were rewarded with a tap in at the back post to take a slender lead into the break. In spite of the bitter weather, the game had been fairly evenly matched up to the break. During the second half Yardley were bolstered with a full team and looked on to make a difference. Great passing between DJ Bryan and Alex Makepeace saw some hope of a promising attack but Kings Heath sniffed out any threat rather easily. Kings Heath’s own second half pressure saw them force a series of short corners from which they claimed their second goal and soon after a third as Yardley looked to tire towards the end of the game. In spite of the weather Yardley had given a good account of themselves against the one time promotion hopefuls. Next week Yardley face Droitwich at Home.
