| Match Report | It was most unfortunate that Yardley had to concede this game to Newtown as the Club could only field seven players. It would have to be a very big dig into past records to discover the last time Yardley Hockey Club could not field a 1st team!! Fortunately, the Club was only awarded a 3-0 defeat, as is standard is such circumstances. The club could have had a further three points deducted and a fine awarded.This the club has narrowly avoided. It is hoped that this will not happen again. If the club is going to have to face this predicament again the whole future of the club might well be brought into question. The Club membership needs to take note of this serious situation!!
