Match Report | With both teams struggling at the wrong end of the table, Yardley hoped that they might be able to get something out of this game in the Warwick Printing Hockey League, West Midlands Division 1. For some years now Yardley have found it very difficult to get any points from their travels to Barlaston. And so it continued last weekend. Yardley hardly got into the game during the first half and the home side found it all too easy to build up a three goal lead by half time. The second half proved a little different with the visitors raising their game somewhat. Although Barlaston scored two more goals Yardley did share the spoils during this second period. Gavin Hetherington scored from a short corner to reduce the arrears and Hasib Altaf scored Yardley’s second after good work by Junaid Ali. Yardley will try again to get their first win when they entertain Evesham this week. |
